A1A Marathon & Half Marathon

Course Hours:  Both the Full and Half Marathon Courses will be open for 6 hours, from 6:00am – 12:00pm. At the 6 hour mark, remaining runners and Walkers can continue via the Sidewalk. Our Finish Area will be operational until 1:30pm.

We ask that all participants be at the Start area by 5:20am. Our event features a ‘Mass Start’ for the 2024 event.  Faster-paced runners should make their way to the front, while slower-paced runners & walkers should position themselves toward the back of the corral.  For Details visit the Course Info web page, https://a1amarathon.com/event-details/course-information/

Packet Pickup:

The Publix Health & Fitness Expo will serve as the Packet Pick-up for the events.  The Expo takes place at the Broward County Convention Center in the Grand Room, 3rd Floor on Friday, February 16^th from 3pm – 8pm, and on Saturday, February 17^th from 10am – 6pm.  For more detailed information, please visit The Expo web page, https://a1amarathon.com/health-fitness-expo/

Pace Teams:

There will be Pace Teams available for the Marathon.  The pacers will be located in the Start Line Corral and will be holding signs and balloons with the target pace on it. The Pacers will be organized in 15 minute increments: 3:00 hrs., 3:15 hrs., etc.

NO SHUTTLE BUSES for the 2024 Event.  We Start & Finish from the same location

Parking:

We STRONGLY recommend that people arrive by 4:30am to park! Carpooling is also Strongly Recommended. There will be some congestion as thousands of cars will be traveling to the area! Gear Check:

There will be a Gear Check for 2024.  It will take place at a 26ft Yellow Penske truck parked in our Parking Lot, on the A1A side of the parking lot, to the Left of the Start/Finish Line if you are facing north.  Please no valuables in the Gear check bag.  If possible, we suggest running with your car key.

Run to Saves Lives from Cancer

DetermiNation is the American Cancer Society’s event endurance program, spanning a variety of sports including cycling, running, hiking, yoga, and more.

On February 18, 2024, during National Cancer Awareness month, we will partner with the Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon to present our ACS DetermiNation 6K.

Join ACS DetermiNation 6K and you’re not just participating in an endurance event. You’re pushing yourself to help save lives from cancer. Just like hard work goes into your event training, the American Cancer Society gives it our all through things like breakthrough research, a 24/7 cancer helpline, and free rides to chemo. Together, we’ll tackle every course, rally every community, and stay absolutely relentless in the fight against cancer.

The collective efforts of dedicated athletes like you, who use fortitude to help raise funds to take down cancer are nothing short of amazing.

Kids of Love Fun Run Kid’s Race

Kids of Love is a volunteer-based foundation of kids and adults helping kids with debilitating conditions and diseases, and drawing a spotlight on childhood cancer. They provide Year-Round services including Healthy Snacks and Toy Karts to hospitals. www.kidsoflove.org

The Kids of Love Fun Run is an event where ‘Everyone is a Winner’! We created this event to offer children an opportunity to participate in the weekend activities. The participating Kids will start across the street from the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, just to north of the overpass bridge.  Our Kids will run the final stretch of the course finishing in the same chute that our adult runners go through. Parents may run or walk alongside their children. The only rule that we ask everyone to follow is to be aware of the Marathon runners or walkers still on the course. The remaining athletes will be tired and will not take kindly to children or parents running in front or around them! So, let’s offer them the space they deserve as they finish their run!
